DESCRIPTION:Some would suggest that we have moved to a society where Playboy is accepted on college campuses\, Girls Gone Wild is an accepted spring break activity and pornography is a multimillion-dollar business.\nWhat does this mean? Is there an affect on women and society? Discussions about pornography typically provoke 3 main points of view\: 1) Pornography and other sex work is a choice. Women can take charge of their sexuality. It can be empowering. 2) Pornography is immoral and/or obscene. 3) Pornography contributes to a society that sexualizes and objectifies women. It contributes to the culture of violence against women. What do you think? Come to this interactive lecture with Rus Funk\, a trainer\, educator and activist.
