DESCRIPTION:Do not miss a highlight event of the First Annual Vanderbilt Rainbow ReVU\, sponsored by the Vanderbilt Lambda Association.\n\nDr. Simon LeVay\, renowned neuroscientist at the epicenter of the biological basis of homosexuality debate\, will be presenting &quot\;Queer Science\,&quot\; an overview of the modern research of the biology and neuroscience of sexual orientation as well as its social implications and political consequences. Dr. LeVay began the controversy with a groundbreaking paper in the early 90's and has since remained one of the most prominent figures in this area of research.\n\nLecture followed by Q&amp\;A\nSimon LeVay was born in England and trained at the universities of Cambridge (U.K.) and Goettingen (Germany)\, as well as at Harvard Medical School. His research into sexual orientation was conducted at the Salk Institute in San Diego. He is the author or co-author of nine books\, including The Sexual Brain\, Queer Science\, the textbook Human Sexuality\, and the forthcoming When Science Goes Wrong\: Twelve Tales from the Dark Side of Discovery.
