Cyntoia Brown was only a teenager when she was tried as an adult for murder and was sentenced to life in prison. Attorney Preston Shipp was the prosecutor in the case on appeal. Some time after the prosecution, Shipp encountered Cyntoia again while teaching a class through a program offered at the Tennessee Prison for Women by Lipscomb University.
Join the Vanderbilt Christian Legal Fellowship as we watch a portion of a short film featuring Shipp’s story and hear him speak about his experiences. Lunch will be provided.
