The 6th Annual Murray Lecture, entitled "Innovate: Lessons from the Underground Railroad," will be held on Monday, February 3, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the SLC Board of Trust Room.
This year's lecture will feature Dr. Sybril Bennett, of the Department of Media Studies at Belmont University and author of the book "Innovate: Lessons from the Underground Railroad," winner of the 2013 USA Book Award in multicultural non-fiction.
The Murray Lecture is sponsored by The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons, the Black Student Alliance, and the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center.
