Vicente Perez de Leon: "Fields of Power in Spanish Baroque Interludes: A Metafictional Empathy"

Professor Vicente Pérez de León of the University of Melbourne will speak on "Fields of Power in Spanish Baroque Interludes: A Metafictional Empathy" on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in at 3:10 p.m.
Professor Pérez de León is Senior Lecturer and Convenor of Spanish and Latin American Studies at the University of Melbourne. His degrees are from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Villanova University, and Indiana University. Professor Pérez de León taught at Elon University for two years and at Oberlin College for ten years before moving to Australia to accept the position in Melbourne. He is the author of two books, Tablas destempladas: Los entremeses de Cervantes a examen and Cervantes y el Cuarto Misterio (recipient of the University of Melbourne Woodward Medal for the Humanities and Social Sciences, 2011).
