More than a hundred were made "Righteous Among the Nations" by Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. This award honors in the name of the State of Israel, who have endangered their lives during the Second World War to save Jews. At a time when the last of the Righteous are still alive, the museum devotes an exhibition to remember their commitment during the dark years and more broadly to honor those who often remained anonymous and tried to prevent the persecution.
