Steve Stern a native of Memphis, Tennessee, is the author of twelve books of fiction, among them: A Plague of Dreamers: Three Novellas; The Wedding Jester; The North of God; The Frozen Rabbi; and The Book of Mischief. His work has won numerous awards, including the O. Henry Award; two Pushcart Prize awards; the Edward Lewis Wallant Award for Jewish American Fiction; and the National Jewish Book Award. The Angel of Forgetfulness was named one of the best books of 2005 by The Washington Post.
Stern, who teaches at Skidmore College, has also won fellowships from the Fulbright and the Guggenheim foundations. He currently lives in Ballston Spa, New York.
