This symposium event will feature four visiting speakers who will contribute to the topics and ideas from our seminar, “Sacred Ecology: Landscape Transformations for Ritual Practice.”
The seminar explores sites, architecture, landscapes, and rituals around the world and across time. We use “sacred ecology” to refer to the human experience of divinity in relation to the natural environment, real or represented. The seminar’s investigations of setting, nature, and monuments offer opportunities to revisit sacred places and to see them in a new light.
