Vanderbilt University Orchestra - Robin Fountain, conductor
with Carolyn Huebl, violin, Jared Hauser, oboe and Vanderbilt Wind Symphony Thomas Verrier, conductor, Erin Perez, guest conductor.
Vanderbilt University Orchestra performs Gustav Mahler’s “Adagietto” from Symphony No. 5, and J.S. Bach’s “Concerto for Oboe and Violin”, with guest soloists Jared Hauser, oboe, and Carolyn Huebl, violin. Vanderbilt Wind Symphony performs a program of original works for winds titled “Contemporary Classics,” including: Michael Daugherty’s “Asclepius (Fanfare for Brass Ensemble)”; David Maslanka’s “Tears”; Frank Ticheli’s “Wild Nights!”; and John Mackey’s “Asphalt Cocktail”.
