Commodore Classroom: An Afternoon with Professor Stephen Buckles

You are invited to join alumni, family and friends for lunch and special lecture by Vanderbilt Professor of Economics, Stephen Buckles
 
"Where have we been, where are we now, and where are we going? A brief and provocative look at recent and likely future economic conditions and challenges."

About Professor Buckles
Stephen Buckles has a Ph.D. in economics and currently teaches economics at Vanderbilt University. He currently serves as Senior Advisor for Programs at the Council for Economic Education. He previously served as President of the National Council on Economic Education. Prior to that appointment, he directed the Center for Economic Education and the Missouri Council on Economic Education at the University of Missouri. He is a past chair of the New York Stock Exchange Individual Investors Advisory Committee and continues as an ex officio member of the committee. He has been awarded numerous awards while at Vanderbilt including the first annual Students’ Choice Award for Best Teacher at Vanderbilt, the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching from the College of Arts and Science and Vanderbilt’s university-wide Madison Sarratt Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
