Bill Ruddiman: Climate Science and Climate Skeptics

Bill Ruddiman from the University of Virginia will present "Climate Science and Climate Skeptics". The presentation is open to everyone and will consist of a lecture and discussion that reviews current climate science and some of the major skeptical arguments. Professor Ruddiman will also discuss the early anthropocene theory and the reception of it.

This presentation will consist of a lecture of 25-35 minutes (followed by a discussion) that reviews current climate science and some of the major skeptical arguments. Professor Ruddiman will also discuss the early anthropocene theory and the reception of it. This paper will provide a climate scientist’s perspective and a review of the background science that will inform the three following discussions, in which social scientists discuss aspects of climate skepticism and denialism, public opinion, and public policy.
