McTyeire Fireside Chat: 'Double Talk: What does it mean to be bilingual?'

Professor Virginia Scott (French and Italian) will give a 30-minute presentation on new theories regarding bilingual and multilingual language use. Drawing on research in Dynamic Systems Theory and Multicompetence Theory, she will demonstrate that being bilingual is much broader than previously thought. Audience members will leave the session with a new understanding about the connections between language learning, identity construction, and bilingualism.
