VUMC Hand Hygiene Awareness Day
7/13/2011, All Day
Clean hands save lives. Failure to perform adequate hand hygiene is considered the leading cause of preventable healthcare-associated infections. As a part of our continued commitment to patient safety, Vanderbilt University Medical Center is inviting all faculty and staff to learn more about hand hygiene.
VUMC leaders will be rounding in the clinical areas to remind everyone of the importance of hand hygiene in protecting our patients and ourselves. Also, stop by one of our stations for free alcohol hand gel and hand hygiene campaign materials. Station locations:
• Bridge between the South Garage and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• VUH Courtyard next to Au Bon Pain from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• One Hundred Oaks on the second level across from the food court (Entrance D, at the top of the escalator to the right) 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
