Lambda is honored to present Dr. Marisa Richmond, president of the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition, who will be speaking in anticipation of Transgender Day of Remembrance. She serves on the
Board of Directors of the Tennessee Equality Project & Board of Advisors of NCTE. Dr. Richmond also became Tennessee’s first openly transgender person to win an election in the history of the State of
Tennessee when she was elected as the Davidson County Democratic Committeewoman to represent District 23 in Feb. 2008.
Dr. Richmond will lecture on political activism at the state and local level, as well as the recent signing of the hate crime bill.
