VU-NSBE would like to invite all students to the annual VU-NSBE Jazz Set which will be held in the Black Cultural Center Auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 20th from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

The Jazz Set is an annual fundraiser that VU-NSBE (VU-National Society of Black Engineers) holds to raise funds for our PCI High School chapter - MLK Magnet High School. We help fund their participation in national NSBE competitions and programs. The high school students greatly depend on and value our assistance and that is why this event is so important to us.

This event has traditionally been an open mic night where students take the stage for however long they like and perform song, spoken word, instrumentals, or any other form of expression related to jazz entertainment. We would like to invite students to come out and enjoy the live band and food. Come with a date or come as a sexy single, but most importantly, come! Admission is only $5 on the card (available the week of the event) or at the door and includes a fantastic dinner. We also invite students with any of these talents to take the stage!

If your student group is a performance group and you would like to perform we strongly encourage you to do so! Students who perform representing their student group should email trenika.a.moore@vanderbilt.edu.
