"Exploring the Neurobiology of Down Syndrome: Moving from Science to Medicine"

William C. Mobley, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Neurology & Neurological Sciences, Director of Center for Research and Treatment of Down Syndrome, Stanford University

A reception will follow the lecture

William C. Mobley’s research focuses on the signaling biology of neurotrophic factors in the normal brain and in animal models of neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and Down syndrome. He is the recipient of both the Zenith Award and the Temple Award from the Alzheimer’s Association and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr. Mobley serves as an editor of Neurobiology of Disease, and is a member or consultant in numerous professional organizations. He received the Christian Pueschel Memorial Award for Research in Down Syndrome from the National Down Syndrome Congress, is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and is a Member of the Institute of Medicine.
