The Iroquois Steeplechase is one of the oldest, most prestigious, and most challenging steeplechase races in the country. With six races, and purses and bonuses totaling $415,000, the Iroquois is the richest race on the National Steeplechase Association spring circuit.
The event is sponsored by the Volunteer State Horsemen's Foundation in association with the Friends of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. More than 100 committee chairmen are working to plan the event, and more than 600 volunteers will be helping out on race day.
