About Jammin':

In effort to raise funds and awareness to support the Mental Health Association of Middle Tennessee's (MHAMT) programs and services, the benefit concert, Jammin' to Beat the Blues, was developed as MHAMT's signature annual fundraiser in 1999. It began as a singer/songwriter showcase. In 2002, Jammin' found a new home at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

Each year has presented different artists that come from various backgrounds, music genres and levels of success. For some artists, this was a beginning for their now successful career. Past performers who have donated their time, talent and energy to Jammin' include Vince Gill, Amy Grant, John Cowan, Nickel Creek, Ralph Stanley, Tony Rice, Steve Earle, The Fairfield Four, Leon Russell, Delbert McClinton, Jerry Douglas, Jeff Coffin, Jimmy Hall, Beth Nielsen Chapman, The Wilkinson's, Rodney Crowell, Buddy Jewell, Lee Ann Womack, Blake Shelton, Tanya Tucker and Andy Griggs Most recently, the performers for the 2007 Jammin' included Kathy Mattea, Riders In The Sky, Taylor Swift and The Wrights.
