Classes of 2007, 2008, and 2009 --
It's time to vote for the next Young Alumni Trustee!
I know - Spring Break 08 is over. You're trying to find something to get you through until Rites of Spring. Well, this is it. You have the opportunity to cast your vote for this year's Young Alumni Trustee.
The deadline is April 11th at midnight.
So ... "what IS the Young Alumni Trustee?"
I'm glad you asked!
The Young Alumni Trustee is a graduating member of the Class of 2008 who is elected by the Classes of 2007, 2008, and 2009 to serve on the Vanderbilt Board of Trust for a full board commitment of four years. In 1968, Vanderbilt became the very first university to start this tradition.
Young Alumni Trustees have the unique opportunity to be at the center of this university's governance and to provide fellow trustees with the distinct young alumni perspective on Vanderbilt today.
So what does this mean to me?
This means YOU get to vote for one candidate on the Young Alumni Trustee slate. And, PLEASE, DO! The Young Alumni Trustee slate is comprised of the following very accomplished and absolutely outstanding Class of 2008 women:
Elizabeth Bennett
Cara Bilotta
Taylor Imboden
This is a very important position. Based upon nominations received from the Class of 2008, the Young Alumni Trustee Nominating Committee (comprised of members from the Classes of 2007 & 2009) discussed and determined the 2008 Young Alumni Trustee Slate. Now, the Classes of 2007, 2008 & 2009 are all voting on this Young Alumni Trustee slate. The person receiving the most votes will be Vanderbilt's 2008 Young Alumni Trustee.
So please cast your vote before April 11th!
