Fashion for a Cause Presents: "Street Smarts" Spring Runway Show
3/27/2008
7:30 pm
- 10:00 pm

Fashion for a Cause has been dedicated to raising funds for charity since its first runway show in 2004. In the past, Fashion for a Cause has benefited the Greater Nashville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and raised over $10,000 for breast cancer research and education.
This year, Fashion for a Cause is excited to announce a brand new cause: The College Tour Program of the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee. Since 2000, The Boys & Girls Club has taken over 200 youths to tour campuses throughout the US. The purpose of the college tour is to expose local high school students to college campuses outside of Middle Tennessee.
Most of the young people involved have extremely limited resources and without this program would not have the opportunity to be exposed to the idea of college. These college tours allow students to realize that their dreams for the future can come true!
Fashion for a Cause is committed to raising money for the College Tour Program so that every student interested has a chance to attend the tour. Fashion for a Cause will prove to the members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee that when attending a university, they can join an organization that interests them and give back to their community!
Past designers featured in the show included: Tibi, Tracy Reese, Catherine Malandrino, Perry Ellis, Betsey Johnson, Ralph Lauren Black & Purple Labels, Rebecca Taylor and Cynthia Steffe. This exciting evening includes an hors d'oeuvre reception, a silent auction, as well as performances from other on campus organizations.
Location: Student Life Center Ballroom (Google map of this location)
The doors will open at 7:30 PM and the show starts at 8:00 PM! We hope to see you there!
