Inspired by Aaron Douglas: African American Modernist, the current exhibit at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Nashville Public Library celebrates African American History Month with "Harlem Renaissance Revisited." This influential African-American cultural and social movement of the early 20th century is the focus of hundreds of events throughout February including special story hours, film screenings, performances, book talks, lectures and craft sessions for children, teens and adults. Frist "Art Trunk" programs based on the Aaron Douglas exhibit will also be offered at various library branches, ending with a free tour at the museum.
