Arthur Danto, renowned scholar of aesthetics and art criticism from Columbia University, will speak at a symposium in honor of the 2006-2007 "Between Word and Image" Fellows Program of the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities.
The symposium coincides with an exhibition of works from Vanderbilt's permanent collection at the Fine Arts Gallery.
